Simmie Cooper
Simmie Cooper, an innovator in the Texas Real Estate residential market, is a leading home construction developer who has provided a wide range of homes to thousands of Texas families. After graduating from high school in Johannesburg, South Africa, Simmie Cooper moved to the United States in 1976 to attend the University of Southern California. He graduated in 1981 with a B.A. in Business Administration and was certified as a CPA. However, his experience growing up in a family with deep roots in real estate construction and development, inspired him to go in a different direction. Cooper went on to create Cooper Homes, Camden Homes and Casas Modernas. With 30+ years of experience, Cooper has built over 4000 homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston areas ranging from entry-level homes to luxurious custom builds. Cooper is known for his commitment to quality, precision and service, and applies these principles to every project he is a part of.
Steven Lampert
Steven Lampert, raised in South Africa, graduated from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg with a degree in Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce, BIS. Lampert began his career in MIS consulting for Hewlett Packard in South Africa. He then immigrated to the United States to work for Leventhal & Horwath in Dallas, Texas. In 1990, Lampert joined the team at Cantoni Inc. where he was exposed to a world of contemporary design and furniture manufacturing. In 1993, Lampert took on the role of CEO at KidKraft Inc., a premium global toy and furniture company. It was there that he mastered global supply chain distribution, sales and production. By establishing offices and distribution centers, in the United States, Amsterdam, the United Kingdom, China and Australia, Lampert was able to bring high quality kids toys and products to customers across seven continents. After successfully selling KidKraft to private equity in 2015, Lampert decided to leverage his meticulous eye for design and unyielding demand for quality to pursue property development. After successfully launching The Harri, a cutting edge live, work, play residential and retail concept in Cape Town, South Africa, Lampert decided to refocus his energy in the United States. In 2021, Lampert partnered with long time friend and business partner, Simmie Cooper to establish Coolam Development. Lampert has found great success in working with great people who share his beliefs in organization, collaboration and culture.
